Thrive Acupuncture COVID-19 Safety Policies & Procedures

Safety and cleanliness have always been a priority at Thrive and we are taking every precaution to run the clinic as securely as possible. Informed by the safety protocols and decontamination recommendations set forth by the CDC, our new procedures will reflect our commitment to be able to provide you with the service you've come to expect while keeping your health our top priority.

While these guidelines will likely evolve over time, here are our current policies and procedures to operate in the new normal of COVID-19 prevention:

  • Our clinic will continue to practice rigorous sanitary protocols.

  • All patients will be treated in private rooms and limited to one at a time in common areas.

  • Appointment availability will be temporarily reduced to accommodate physical distancing.

  • All staff will be screened prior to each shift for subjective and objective markers of COVID-19.

  • All staff will be wearing masks while working with patients.

During this time, we ask that you assist us by adhering to the following safety measures:

  • Please wear a mask both in the common areas of our clinic, and while being treated.

  • We will check your body temperature via forehead scan before you enter the clinic.

  • We will apply hand sanitizer to your hands as soon as you arrive at the clinic.

  • Please call to cancel your appointment if you are feeling unwell with symptoms such as cough, fever, rash, shortness of breath, loss of smell and/or taste, if you have traveled recently, or if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19. We will waive any cancellation fees.

  • If you are able to come to your appointment by yourself, please do so; otherwise please limit additional guests to only medically necessary caregivers.

  • To ensure the safety of our clinic for all patients, we reserve the right to re-schedule or cancel your appointment if we feel it is not safe to provide a treatment.

In addition, our building is taking the following precautions:

  • A building staff member will continuously clean and disinfect all elevator call buttons and cab interiors, and all door handles and hardware. Restrooms will also be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day.

  • All staff members will be required to wear masks and gloves at all times.

  • A plexiglass barrier has been placed on the lobby desk to separate visitors from the lobby attendant.

  • Markings have been placed on the floor every six feet in the lobby to ensure social distancing.

  • Air purifiers have been installed in all the elevators (including the freight elevator) and in the main lobby.

  • No more than two individuals will be allowed in the elevators at one time and stairwell handrails will be disinfected regularly.

  • Tenants and their visitors may use the freight elevator for passenger use from 8 am to 5 pm.

  • Hand sanitizing stations have been set up in the lobby and on every floor near the elevators.
